Uniform Guidelines
All students must wear the Ridgeview Charter Middle School uniform daily, as outlined below. Only items specified in the uniform policy are permitted.
Clothing should fit properly; when in doubt, avoid wearing it. Adherence to the dress code avoids disruptions to instructional time.
Uniform tops and select supplies are available year-round at The Panther Store near the gym. Parents/students will be informed of uniform exceptions for special events (i.e., Olympics, dress-down days, etc.).
School Colors: Red, Black, White, and Gray
Permitted Bottoms:
Color: Tan, khaki, or black
Type: Pants/slacks, skirts, or shorts; plain, solid black tights may be worn underneath skirts or shorts that adhere to the length restriction.
Length: Pants must be full-length; skirts or shorts should reach at least mid-thigh.
Material: Twill or dress pant material (e.g., cotton, twill, poly blend synthetic).
Fit: Bottoms should fit appropriately, be worn at the natural waist, and not be skin-tight.
Logos are not permitted.
Permitted Tops:
Type: Collared shirts, sweaters, sweatshirts, and T-shirts.
Collared T-shirts, Sweaters or Sweatshirts:
Plain in school colors: red, black, gray, or white.
RCMS collared t-shirts, sweaters, or sweatshirts purchased from The Panther Store may also be worn.
Only the RCMS logo is permitted; no other logos should be visible.
T-shirts:
Fit of the Tops:
Tops should fit appropriately and reach near the natural waist.
Tops should not be skin-tight or cropped.
Tops must not be worn inside out.

Shoes:
Only closed-toe shoes are allowed.
Not permitted: open-toe shoes, high heels, flip-flops, slides, or bedroom slippers.
Friday Dress Code:
In addition to the above guidelines, the following items are permitted on Fridays only:
Solid blue or black jeans
RCMS athletic or club shirts
Riverwood shirts
Not Permitted:
Denim, jeans, or cargo pants
Leggings, joggers, or athletic pants; workout attire is not allowed
Clothing with rips, tears, or holes
Hats or headgear, except for religious purposes
Uniform Infraction Consequences
First time: Change clothes; parent notified
Second time: Office referral; public detention; parent notified
Third time: Office referral; public detention; conference
Fourth time: Office referral; consequences for Insubordination; parent notified
